Jimmy’s Famous American Tavern

Whether you want some gorgeous flatbread concoctions—Jalapeño-BBQ Duck, anyone?—or some good ‘ol nachos, JFAT is one of our top picks for happy hour. Their drinks are on point, too, with wine for $7, tap beers for $2 off and other well beverages on the menu from $5-7 to wash down all the drool-inducing grub. “Our ‘Sophia’s Skinny Margarita’ is my favorite and of a lot of our guests as it’s our number one selling cocktail at happy hour. It’s named after my friend Sophia Partida and is made with her Blanco Tequila and is muddled with cucumber, fresh mint, orange, lemon and lime. Lots of ‘skinny’ [margaritas] are really light on flavor and not very appealing, but ours delivers tons of flavor because of the addition of orange, cucumber and mint,” says Managing Partner David Wilhelm.
